Casa Esteban

Full Description

This restored quite old traditional house is on two floors and has six rooms (one double bedroom and one single) and an outside terrace about 12 feet square, large enough to eat out on. The terrace has a panoramic view of the hills and the sea.It is on hills about 800m high and so it has a wonderful view down a valley to the Mediterranean about six miles away (three or four miles as the crow flies). It is furnished quite simply with pine and cane furniture and traditional Andalusian ceramic and terracotta tiles, and has wood beamed ceilings made from whole tree trunks. It has a modern cooker, shower and all amenities. The area is very rural and undeveloped, with no golf courses, discos etc. It is surrounded by olive trees and almond trees, orange trees, vines and goats, and has massive hills and deep valleys, and is perfect for walking (except in high summer): several walks are on the walkingworld site walks 4692 to 4695. Although close to the sea it is right off the beaten track. Mules, horses and goats sometimes come through the village streets. It is also perfect for relaxing and visiting all the areas of interest in Southern Spain like Granada. The coast which is here very undeveloped, is a 15 minutes drive away. Or you can walk down to the coast over the hills in one and a half hours.
